Curriculum Vitae

Joshua

After working several short-term jobs, Joshua was unsure what he wanted to do next. So we did some exercises to figure out what aspects of his jobs he liked the most. Once we figured out the ingredients of his ideal position, we rewrote his resume to reflect his relevant experience for these positions. And this quickly led to interviews!

Job Interview

Theresa

Theresa had just failed to get a job after what she described as a "nightmare" of an interview. We talked about her struggles, and I gave her several ideas to help for future interviews. Additionally, I conducted a mock interview to prepare her for her next meeting so she could practice the methods we discussed. Her next interview went much better, and she got to the next round.

Computer Keyboard

Lisa

Lisa never knew what to write in a cover letter, so she often skipped this step in the application process. But she feared this was preventing her from getting interviews. So I shared a helpful template with her for effective cover letters, and we worked together on a sample so she would be ready the next time a cover letter was requested. After she started writing cover letters, the number of interview requests she received went up immediately.

Successful Manager

Lev

Lev had just gotten a huge promotion at work. But shortly after starting the new position, another department in his company approached him about an even bigger position. Not wanting to ruffle feathers, he asked me how he should handle this. First, we discussed which job would be best at this point in his career. Together we agreed that the initial job offered the best path forward. Next, we discussed how to respectfully handle the second job offer with both his new boss and the manager who offered the second job. Ultimately, his boss appreciated his transparency, and the manager who made the second offer respected his decision and his loyalty.
