During the spring of my senior year in college, most of my friends had already accepted job offers, and they were coasting through their remaining months at school. Meanwhile, I was trying desperately to get a job before graduation. So, during a whirlwind week of interviews, I met with a recruiting firm hoping they would be able to place me in a job as a computer programmer. But only minutes into the interview, my eventual boss flipped the script: he offered me a job working for him as a recruiter! And it didn't take long for me to accept.

My father was furious. The starting salary was less than half that of the programming offers I would eventually receive. But I suspected that there were more opportunities for growth in recruiting. And, fortunately, I was right! Only days into the job, I was cold calling companies and potential recruits. It was terrifying! But it forced me to grow up very quickly and to learn on the fly. Plus, more importantly, I got to help literally thousands of people with their careers and job searches.

Over the last 24 years, I have worked on filling hundreds of jobs. These jobs have ranged from entry-level all the way up to the C-suite (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) But while filling these jobs for corporations felt good, I always found it far more rewarding to help the applicants and jobseekers. Because I frequently helped these individuals at work, I eventually started helping friends with their job searches in my spare time. With this experience, it was only logical that I'd gradually start helping other folks as well!

Because I believe that jobseekers need far more help than corporations do, I've decided to focus exclusively on helping jobseekers. And because jobseekers can experience complicated life circumstances and challenging financial situations, I've decided to allow people who I advise to pay only what they want to pay for my services. And, yes, that can be nothing.
